We've been promising the junior members of blogTV (ages 13-15) a new channel they could really call their own for a while and it is finally here! Gone are the childish logo and limited features of the past. They have all made way for some great new options so the juniors can really become a strong and cohesive community.
The new features blogTV juniors will see now are:
- New and improved Safety Zone with even more safe broadcasting tips and a larger area so no one will miss it!
- The updated layout similar to that of the Live Now page - including brand new header and footer for easy access to blogTV information
- New sorting options so each junior can customize his channel viewing experience
- A featured video section! (have you created a great video and want some recognition for it? Send a link to Community@blogTV.com and you might see your video in the new featured section!)
- Twitter and facebook feeds so junior can see what blogTV and its followers are tweeting about and who likes what!
- You still have your best of section so you can keep track of who is the most subscribed and the friendliest broadcaster each week.
- And of course, you still have your featured broadcasters banner area to support junior broadcasters who are working hard to create great shows for you!
Any questions or suggestions? Feel free to contact community manager, Kara-Hannah at Community@blogTV.com.
Great Safety Idea. One thing is that of controlling people with account that are fake and have no photo evidence to prove their really a junior. I think the ages should be from 12 to 16 just putting it out there. Once again very well thought out and all the best, also hopefully parents would like this idea lol.
Sincerely, SamKurd

Um How is this secure for those pervs out there ? Can someone just sign up and now only view selected live streams with teenagers. Fake Accounts or Extra Accounts explained above. 13 - 15 is only 2 years and should be spread out more.

The safety reminder before a broadcast takes place is a good idea

Awesome! I'm going to start doing shows again now! :D
By the way, are we allowed to cohost now? a couple of shows I've seen on the jr channel say "live +Cohost" on the thumbnail. Haven't tried it out yet, but hope to soon! :)

The blogtv Jr. Safety Zone you have is a great idea, and you should get that going ASAP. One thing the regular side still does have the underage kids and people under 18yr. The regular section should also have this kind of feature before they open up their broadcast.

you should have mods visit shows random shows over at junior, study the chat and mass ban pervs, the way things are now junior is a much worse place for kids than if they had been on regular blog.
I know you think handing the broadcasters banning/kicking power is giving them all the tools they need, but come on, these are kids and you have a responsibility.
btw two of the comments above are spam bots.

" btw two of the comments above are spam bots"
I am not a spam bot and banning a perve isn't going to solve anything when a person can make a new account and change their IP within minutes.
There should be a mod in every blogjr kids room even if they have to open up several tabs and have several mod names.
Mods are needed desperately and once a person sees them in a room they will be a little wary of what they say in chat, keeping in mind the person casting has their PM's off.
